Walter Shearer Ltd
Walter Shearer Ltd, and its subsidiary, Shearer Candles, are involved in the manufacture and sale of high quality, scented candles for the trade and retail markets. In addition, it has its own retail outlet at its premises in Glasgow.
Given the continuing growth of the scented candle market both domestically and internationally, we offered the company RSA of £140,000 in February 2006 to support its ambitious growth strategy by extending and improving its existing factory and warehouse. As a result improved work processes and candle manufacturing capabilities were secured allowing the business to fulfil increased customer demand and to develop its international markets. It is anticipated that 5 new jobs will be created and 22 posts safeguarded.
