WeeWorld Ltd was offered RSA of £190,000 in November 2005 in respect of its personal identity software project. WeeWorld is a leading visual social network and is the home of the WeeMee, a widely used and recognised avatar - an internet user's representation of him or herself. With over 17 million WeeMees created worldwide, WeeWorld is a thriving hub for young adults to communicate and express themselves.
The project, which will involve the company leasing additional space at its Glasgow premises, is expected to see the creation of 11 high quality jobs and the safeguarding of 12 others. Capital expenditure is estimated at £591,000 and our offer helped secure the project for Glasgow in the face of competition from both Dublin and San Francisco.
