Grants up to £50k will usually be paid in a single payment but those over £50k will be paid in two or more instalments. Payments will only be made after you meet agreed capital expenditure and employment triggers, funding requirements as well as any other non-standard conditions which your Appraisal Executive will have discussed with you.
Once your application for RSA has been approved and agreed, you will be allocated a Grant Manager. Your Appraisal Executive and Grant Manager will work closely together, particularly in the early stages of the project.
The Grant Manager will issue an Offer Letter which clearly sets out all instalments and conditions. Your offer letter is a legal document and it is vital that you read it carefully before signing and returning a copy to your Grant Manager who will, of course, be available to answer any queries which you may have. The Grant Agreement constituted by an offer of grant (Offer Letter) and the acceptance of it will have effect as a contract between the Directorate and you, the applicant.
In order to access your instalments of grant, you must complete a claim form, which your Grant Manager will issue. They will guide you through the claims procedure.
