When Will I Hear?

We recognise your need to get quick decisions on critical funding issues, particularly for those seeking smaller grants. The target turnaround times from the receipt of a fully documented application are:

For grants up to £50k, 10 working days

For grants of between £50k and £250k, 20 working days

For grants over £250k, 40 working days

For all applications for grants over £250k we seek the advice of the Scottish Industrial Development Advisory Board (SIDAB), which meets on the second Thursday of every month. The final date of approval is therefore dependent on the timing of the application being presented to SIDAB.

In all cases, your application will be acknowledged and if we do not consider it to be fully documented upon receipt we will contact you with details of any outstanding information. Work on your application will not start until it is considered fully documented.

During the appraisal process we may ask for clarification on some aspects of your application and there may be some benefit in a further meeting or visit to the project premises. While we are awaiting your response, the turnaround clock is stopped.
