Need For Grant

Your project must need RSA to enable it to proceed and must be mainly funded from the private sector

We want to assist projects that would not go ahead without our help. Our assistance can mean making projects bigger, better, or happen sooner than if grant was not available.

The level of grant depends on the scale of your project, and our assessment of your need for assistance. RSA can be used to:

Fill a funding gap
Reduce commercial risks associated with the project
Reduce levels of financial gearing
Influence the location of the project in favour of an Assisted Area
Satisfy a group investment criterion

The majority of project funding must come from the private sector. This can come from a variety of sources including equity, term loans, overdrafts, lease finance, hire purchase and internal resources of the business.

RSA will not be offered where the business is already committed to undertaking the project or where we believe it would proceed anyway.
