Project Proposal

Your entry must include a separate project proposal which we use as the main focus for assessment of the technical and commercial objectives.

The proposal should be consistent with the requirements of the Guidance Notes and must provide sufficient information to enable a detailed expert assessment.  It should distinguish clearly between information and figures relating to the SMART: SCOTLAND project and the rest of the business. Details of the rest of the business should be incorporated in the Business Plan.

The proposal should be written in clear terms so that the person responsible for appraising it, can understand it.

However, you must also provide sufficient technical details to enable an expert to carry out an assessment of the project. Where material such as drawings, flow diagrams etc. would improve clarity they should be used. These and other supplementary information should be included as annexes.
